You took that rather well, good on you. I guess your best bet would not be this forum. Actually I'm looking to get my license this summer as well and am not looking forward to the driving 'lessons', as they are out on the outskirts of Beijing and I already know how to drive. The thing is, I know a French guy who has lived in Beijing for 16 years and we talked about this, he owns a automotive shop in Beijing. Even with his contacts, he's being faced with the same situation and if we have to we will take the driving course together. Obviously I'd much rather just 'buy' the license, but I thought only Chinese people could swing that. I'll ask around and keep you posted if I find anything, please do the same if you mangage to find out any info.
I don't give s shaite LongDongMoron. Have you been driving for 17 years without a license? If you had a foreign license you could get a Chinese one too. You have been here for too long if you think it is acceptable to just buy a license you fucking halfwit. Go kill yourself in traffic and make the world a better place. And just for the record my comment was mainly aimed at the OP but since you react in that 'I am 12 years old and offended' kinda way then I guess you feel hit too.

God damn moron. Danmairen, you are such a piece of shit. Obviously I have had a driver's license in my home country for many, many years. However, when one lives overseas as I have for the past 8 years, things tend to expire. When I visit home, I am chauffered around by friends and family.
What are you talking about, 'killing myself in traffic'? Like I'm going to be a dangerous driver because I don't have a worthless license? I know Chinese people who have a license and do not drive because they don't know how to.
