
If you keep the other garmin maps enabled, you can also turn on shaded relief as it uses the garmin elevation maps and will shade over your topo maps if you wish. -Pretty cool for mountain biking. On a side note, if anyone knows of a way to change the draw order, that would be really cool to keep opencyclemaps enabled under the topo, so the device tells me the name of the trail I'm riding on.
Unlocking maps in MapSource with JetMouse First:read the note at the bottom of the post 1. Download and run KG Garmin_kgen_1.5+Fix.rar (450 KB) Download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Enter Unit ID (Device ID) or any random 10 digit number (to unlock only in MapSource) 3. Select Map Product If product not listed, select last option 4. Enter FID (Map ID) If additional fields needed click on 'Enable additional fields', fill up as needed and click 'OK' button 5. Click on 'Generate' And you have unlock code 6.

Select unlock code with mouse and copy it (Ctrl + C) 7. Open MapSource program, and when get this message select 'Skip' 8. Now in MapSource progream select: 'Utilities' -> 'Manage Map Products.' Open second tab 'Unlock Regions' 10. Click on 'Add' button 11. Paste unlock code in upper field (Ctrl + V) Enter whatever you want (or nothing) in second field, click 'OK' and you will see your map product in list. You can close 'Map Product Manager' window, or you can continue with other products by pressing 'Add' button.

Ok, I just saw the same problems on a friends computer. Took his GPSmap64 to my computer and everything works fine.
Since he was unable to fullfill the first steps it might be a difference within the tools used. I'm using imgTool 1.9.4 and gimgunlock.exe with a file date. I was unable to see what file version it is. Siemens opc scout v10 firefox download. It could also be a problem with the virus protection or the operating system.
Try to disable the virus protection before changing the img-file. And I have Win7 as OS, maybe a newer OS could be the problem? No further idea right now, sorry.

And if it is how? - With a empty sdcard make a folder 'GARMIN' and placed inside the unlocked image file for Europe. - Boot your satnav and see if it reads. It was very helpful for me. After waste a lot of time UNLOCKING MAPS new garmin device still saying 'CANT UNLOCK MAPS'. Then, reading (wasting lot of time) I see that recentrly selled Garmin devices have a protected Firmware, that need no to be flashed to accept unlocked maps. Tkanks at all!!
